The first one was during one of Hideo’s many Apricorn-gathering adventures. The forest had proven to be very lucrative, with plenty of good-sized Apricorns to harvest - and sell. And considering Hideo’s spending habits, there was always a need for more money.

He made sure not to give away where he was getting them; he didn’t want them to get overharvested. Or draw too much attention.

On one such trip, he came across a pleasant scent, and decided to go on a small detour to investigate. A risk, yes, but he made sure to bring his Gallade for this trip - a Pokemon that could Teleport him elsewhere if they somehow got lost.

It didn’t take long for him to find the source: a Gossifleur, spreading a Sweet Scent around for whatever reason. Though his Gallade lacked Telepathy, Hideo could hear it say its name, and realized it wasn’t a Pokemon he had yet.

Eager to catch it, he slowly approached, preparing an ambush. But on his way there, he found out why the flower was spreading its scent around: another Gossifleur arrived, and as the two flowers met they…

Hideo’s Gallade covered the boy’s ears, hastily dragging the boy away from what was ensuing.

The next tale is a humorous one, and with less scent-induced attraction involved.

This one happened as Hideo was taking his Aggron for a walk - which amounted to him being escorted by a massive steel Pokemon over five times his size. A very intimidating guardian, which served to scare away most that would try to make the boy their prey.

Save for one: a Parasect, who'd been having a fairly frustrating day of her own, saw the pair approach. Angered, she came out, angrily gesturing towards the two. Gestures that one couldn't see, and the other couldn't care less about.

In an attempt to scare them off, she launched an attack, a Cross Poison at the Aggron. An attack that failed completely, and served to anger the massive guardian.

The Parasect soon found herself beneath the Aggron, the massive Pokemon Body Pressing her. The flattened Parasect only found mercy as Hideo took out a Pokeball, aiming to capture her.
